PROBLEM
Le Morne is a demanding location — powerful waves, shifting light, and a live competition format that leaves no room for retakes. The challenge was to capture the athletes' performance up close in the water while simultaneously documenting the energy of the crowd and the event on land, all without slowing down or interfering with the championship's schedule.
SOLUTION
A dual-camera approach was deployed : a watersport camera operator positioned directly in the lineup to capture local surfers riding the waves at close range, paired with a dedicated camera operator on shore covering the ceremony, sponsors, and public. Together, the two perspectives combined into a complete visual narrative of the event, delivered for MoSurf and Ciel Textile.
